COVID 19 on The Nigerian entertainment industry.

It's doubtless to fathom the inscrutable effect of this pandemic on capital industries such as aviation and  crude production but then how about a thriving industry that has survived on its own without much of the FG's funding?

Since the pandemic, through out the country musicians and entertainers have been implored to give out cash incentives or palliatives to impoverished fans as such in other to show their contributions towards the fight against the virus But then the question really is, do musicians in Nigeria actually have much to sustain themselves In this deadly and daunting times. Just a few weeks ago Nigerian superstar David adeleke famously known as Davido lamented about the scourge. Of the virulent pandemic. In a response to a Twitter user who asked him to do "giveaways" on social media as a way of motivating the vulnerables he bluntly replied " no money for now, no show in sight, Abeg we all dey in this together" that might have come as a shock to many on the micro blogging platform. When further probed about his 30 billion rhodomontade, again another fascinating response "never had it"

This really explicates the corrosive and depleting effect of the corona virus pandemic on Nigerian musicians.
